Iowa Strip-Tiller Off to Good Start for #Plant25

Iowa strip-tiller Corey Hillebo is off to a good start this planting season. He shares updates from the field in this interview with Brownfield Ag. “We had a lot of anhydrous and strips to make, and the end of March gave us some great windows to get that done timely,” Hillebo says. “Great conditions allowed us to start planting in a timely fashion as well.” How are things looking in your neck of the woods?


Minnesota Senator Visits Strip-Tillers Amidst Funding Concerns

The Ackermann family hosted U.S. Sen. Tina Smith in Lakefield, Minn., for a crash course on the impact of conservation practices like strip-till and cover crops. Jerry Ackermann expressed his concerns over recent ag funding cuts and the lack of financial incentives in general. “You do the right thing, you get a bigger discount,” he said. “You don’t do the right thing; it’s going to cost you more.
