Getting The Right Read On Soil Testing With Strip-Till - Robert Miller - NSTC 2014 Presentation - MP3 Download

$19.95

Product Details

The impact of tillage systems like full-width tillage or no-tillage on soil fertility levels and soil test readings are often a topic of debate. The question seems obvious — what happens to the fertility levels in the top layer of soil, the root zone or greater soil depths whether you are churning soil or leaving it undisturbed?

Robert Miller will discuss the impact strip-till and no-till has on your soil fertility levels and how strip-till might be impacting your soil test readings. The technical director of the Agricultural Laboratory Proficiency Program will help you understand what might be occurring when you till a narrow strip of soil, yet leave parts of the field undisturbed as is done with strip-till. He will also look at what your plants might expect to find for nutrients whether you plant between the previous year’s strips or try to plant within or right next to them the next year.
