[Video] Next-Gen Strip-Till with Robots in the Rows
Get a glimpse into the future of farming with Clint Brauer, Greenfield Robotics co-founder and head of innovation. The third-generation farmer and technologist from Cheney, Kan., made it his mission to find a safer, chemical-free solution for weed control through autonomous robots after his father developed Parkinson’s following years of using toxic chemicals on his farm.
Brauer explains how robots, which can also microspray nutrients, achieve this mission by working in harmony with strip-till and cover crops to create the ideal conservation system. He also details how bots are being deployed on farms in 11 states and shares his outlook for the future of technology and autonomy in strip-till.
