CEAT has announced its North American entrance into the agriculture tire market with a line of radial and bias tires distributed in key ag markets.

Part of CEAT’s product offering includes the new Farmax R85 Ag radial tire, which has been designed to provide improved CTR: low compaction, high traction and high roadability. Due to its flexible sidewalls, construction, high tread arc width and high inner tire volume, the Farmax R85 helps reduce soil compaction and carries more load, the company said.

CEAT has already added the 70 series to the Farmax product line. Its 65 series and flotation radials will soon follow.

Company representatives have been visiting agricultural tire dealers and farmers across the farm belt to introduce the brand.

“We are pleasantly surprised by the number of customers who are willing to try out our tires. Clearly there was room for a good quality product at a very attractive price point and backed by a fantastic warranty assurance in the market,” said Vijay Gambhire, managing director of CEAT Specialty Tyres Ltd.

All CEAT Ag radials are warranted for field hazard and stubble damage. If a tire fails due to this type of damage within the first year, the customer will receive a 75% credit. Credit will be 50% within the second year and 25% credit within the third year.

“This warranty will help give U.S. farmers and ranchers the confidence to give CEAT quality a try,” adds Gambhire.

CEAT’s North American headquarters is in Charlotte, N.C., and its tires are distributed in the U.S. by Tyres International Inc.
