Dawn Equipment Co. has unveiled their new mapping and telemetry tool, Dawn FurrowTechnik for mapping, data collection and automated implement monitoring. The new system can collect data on activity from any Dawn FX electro-hydraulic tool and connects to Dawn implement PDM for power and communication.
The FurrowTechnik allows the user to view real-time maps of Dawn FX tool activity through the app on the user’s iOS device. The maps detail the performance of the planter’s automated tools:
- Applied Planter Down Force
- Gauge Wheel Load
- Closing Wheel Applied Pressure
- Closing Wheel Depth
- Actual Planter Depth
FurrowTechnik is easy to install with only three components needed outside of the iOS device. The user simply plugs the device in and connects it to the FurrowTechnik telemetry controller. The system requires limited input once the implement settings are in and continues to record data as long as power if available. Users can switch between maps easily and can log data locally or send it to the cloud.
