MADISON, Wis. — Midwestern BioAg (MBA) announces the appointment of two new members to the company’s Board of Directors.

Joining the Board are Jeff Stroburg, Southern States president and chief executive officer, and Tim Kroenke, retired Syngenta head of seed care. Both began serving on the Board effective May 9. Stroburg and Kroenke will advise Midwestern BioAg, a leader in innovative fertilizer technology, as it continues to expand its product portfolio and reach, specifically TerraNu Technology, into key U.S. markets.

Stroburg joins Midwestern BioAg with over 32 years of leadership experience in both the agriculture and petroleum industries. Stroburg will continue to lead Southern States as president and chief executive officer, which he assumed in May 2015. Prior to joining Southern States, Stroburg served as president and CEO of West Central Cooperative and later Renewable Energy Group for 16 years. Stroburg’s earlier leadership roles stem from Eastern Ag Region of Land O’ Lakes Cooperative, Countrymark Cooperative and Hamilton Farm Bureau Cooperative.

Kroenke also brings more than 30 years of agriculture business experience in the United States, North America and globally to Midwestern BioAg, including senior business leadership roles in Syngenta and Dow AgroSciences. Kroenke has valuable business experience across a diverse range of agricultural and horticultural sectors including seeds/genetics and chemistry. Kroenke retired from Syngenta in November of 2016, and has since served on the advisory boards for AgTech Accelerator and Boragen.
