A Busy December for Recording-Breaking Strip-Tiller Chad Henderson

Madison, Ala., strip-tiller (and state corn record holder) Chad Henderson checks in with the latest in his operation and what’s next on his checklist before Christmas. “There has been good weather to get several acres strip-tilled,” he says. “We have been assessing soil samples and looking at fertilizer rates to use in our fall strip-till application. The rain will help it break down and be ready for corn planting this spring."

Wanoreck and her husband, Travis, implement strip-till practices to help reduce soil erosion and increase organic matter.
