Is Strip-Tilling Covers a Good Idea?

Agronomist Ken Ferrie talks about strip-tilling through cover crops in his latest podcast, and whether it’s a good idea. "Strip-tilling through the covers will help some but will not eliminate all the issues," he said. "It does allow you to let the covers grow longer, and while it does reduce some of the agronomic issues, it doesn't completely remove them." How many of you are strip-tilling through cover crops, and what are some of the benefits/challenges of doing so? Shoot me an email at Nnewman@lesspub.com. I’d love to hear from you!
