For more than 3 decades, Strip-Till Farmer’s sister publication No-Till Farmer has prided itself on providing a quality conference where growers can learn, network and recharge for the coming year — and the 2027 National No-Tillage Conference (NNTC) promises another exceptional experience for attendees.

The long list of more than two-dozen speakers at the 35th annual NNTC, slated for Jan. 13-15 in downtown Indianapolis, includes veteran no-tillers/strip-tillers, experienced agronomists and researchers and knowledgeable equipment experts with practical experience who can help attendees solve their most difficult challenges.

Some of the biggest names in the industry are speaking at the event, including: tillage radish/roller-crimper inventor Steve Groff; “farm weird” champion Jason Mauck; Purdue plant pathologist Darcy Telenko; dryland no-till soybean record-breaker Chris Weaver; “Plant Doctor” Lee Briese; Univ. of Wisconsin cover crops expert Erin Silva; Young Regenerative Producer of the Year Mac Kincaid; Nobel Prize winner and Kanas State Univ. researcher Charles Rice; Beck’s PFR director Jim Schwartz; No-Till Living Legend Ray McCormick and many more.

“We always aim to make this conference the re-charge event for attendees, as it’s a place where they can come together to share ideas, get the low-down on new practices and get some perspective on where modern no-till systems are headed in the future,” says John Dobberstein, senior editor at Strip-Till Farmer. “We invite growers to take a look at the full program and see all the opportunities here to better their farming operation now and in the future.”

The 3-day event will feature several strip-till related sessions, including a “Strip-Till Strategies” farmer-to-farmer roundtable discussion and a classroom led by Univ. of Illinois researcher Jared Fender covering key takeaways from his massive strip-till fertility trial. Fender will dig into new data comparing 16 corn hybrids and 10 soybean varieties across 10 different tillage and fertilizer-placement systems.

The action kicks off Jan. 13 with 2 pre-conference morning workshops: “Using Data to Boost the Potential of Your Soil Profile” with Patrick Freeze of Ward Laboratories, and “Digging into Your Cover Crop Toolbox” with crop consultant Lee Briese from Jamestown, N.D. Attendees can also sign up for a free pre-conference workshop on Jan. 12: “Up-to-the-Minute Trend Data and Analysis on Your Used Machinery” with Andy Campbell from Tractor Zoom.
