Event Description

Come see how  innovation, decades of commitment to our natural resources, and collaboration combine to yield some of America’s most productive conservation partnerships.

Southeast Minnesota is graced with diverse farms, rich soils, world-class rivers, wetlands and committed farmers.

But the region’s rolling landscape and stormy summers can make conservation practices — especially engineered solutions — a challenge. Minnesotans have risen to the challenge with dynamic partnerships that have taken nutrient management, soil health and water quality to new heights.

In the Field

Join CTIC and our partners for an up-close look at innovative conservation partnerships and practices on a wide range of crops and farms, including:

• Vegetative buffer
• Nutrient management strategy development
• Livestock and manure management
• Ag retailers in action
• Drainage water management
• Integrated no-till systems
• Vegetable farms and vineyards

There’s no better way to explore the best in conservation farming…and no better colleagues to do it with.

Voices of Conservation

During the tour, you’ll meet a wide range of farmers and their partners committed to conservation agriculture. Farmers like no-till champion Bruce Peterson, cover crop pioneer Ed McNamara, drainage water management innovator Dave Legvold and a network of families growing food for other families.

Every stop is a chance to hear new voices and gain new insight on conservation. Every leg of the bus ride is a chance to make new friends and share perspectives with other conservation-minded people like you.

Eighth Annual Tour

For the past eight summers, CTIC has hosted Conservation in Action Tours around the nation, bringing people together to share ideas and inspiration, and to get an up-close look at innovative conservation practices.

Join us for this year’s tour and become part of the growing family.
