At the John Deere seeding equipment preview event in Valley City, ND, Product Manager Emily Klemmer highlights the John Deere 60-foot 1895 Air Seeder, recently released in Feb. 2018. Constructed to be 40% wider than the previous largest model, the drill includes 33-inch mainframe tires, designed to work independently across hilly terrain for even pressure across the soil. The release also includes TruSet compatible technology, which allows for incab depth adjustment on seed placement, and RelativeFlow, which alerts users of potential tower blockages in real-time.
BASF Vice President of U.S. Crop Protection Scott Kay lead the discussion featuring farmers Dan Luepkes (Illinois) and Kelly Garrett (Iowa). The panel shared insights on using data and technology to maximize success in the field.
