Strip-Tiller’s Harvest Beats Drought Expectations
Henry County, Ill., strip-tiller Rock Katschnig says harvest turned out well despite a late-season drought. “The end of July, we had the potential for the biggest crop in history, and then we didn’t get hardly any rain,” he tells Brownfield Ag. “We actually fared better than what we anticipated.” Katschnig also says he completed most of his fall strip-till but will make a few strips on lighter soil in the spring.
