Gilbert, Ariz., — Huma announces its entry into the agricultural granular fertilizer market with Gro-Power humic-based fertilizer and soil conditioner products.
After supplying California-based Gro-Power with dry humates for many years, Huma purchased the assets of the global granular fertilizer company in 2024. Since that time, Huma has largely focused on the turf and ornamental market with Gro-Power branded products, based on heavy demand. Now Huma is set to bring those products to farms across the United States.
“Using humates as our carbon-based platform, Huma continues to expand our footprint across multiple product applications,” says Fred Nichols, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Huma. “The Gro-Power line is an excellent complement to our full line of dry humate products, biostimulants and liquid nutritional products.
“What makes Gro-Power unique is that it isn’t blended: every prill contains a uniform formulation of humic acid, humus and crop nutrients – so it feeds both crops and soil,” Nichols adds. “Containing humic acid levels up to 15%, these fertilizers go to work more efficiently in the soil, activating soil microbes, building soil health and greatly improving bioavailability for better plant uptake.”
Helping lead the integration of Gro-Power into the agricultural market is company veteran Michael Gardner, formerly a Huma regional sales manager before becoming General Manager for Gro-Power.
“Having spent over 25 years growing agricultural crops, as both a farmer and with Huma, I’ve seen the difference Gro-Power products make firsthand,” explains Gardner. “I’ve been in the farmer’s shoes, and I’m excited to offer new and existing customers additional technology, support and resources to optimize crop and soil health.”
