Nutra-Flo Co., a North American liquid fertilizer manufacturer, announces its agreement with the bioinnovation company Novozymes to nationally distribute Novozymes BioAg’s Torque and Ratchet brands bioyield enhancement products. The agreement allows Nutra-Flo to custom-blend the two brands with its liquid fertilizer and micronutrient products.

As a result of the agreement, Nutra-Flo is also introducing its newest starter fertilizer, PureGradeT, which is fortified with Torque.

Torque and Ratchet can be used for various crops. Torque for corn contains LCO Promoter Technology, which promotes early root and shoot development independent of environmental conditions. Lipo- chitooligosaccharides (LCO) are low-dose natural signal molecules that enhance a crop’s nutritional capabilities. The molecule has been used in both corn and soybeans for almost a decade in products like Optimize.

Ratchet also contains LCO Promoter Technology, formulated for foliar use in corn, soybeans and alfalfa, which enhances photosynthesis and increases sugar production for healthier plants and higher yields.

Agronomic benefits of PureGradeT include enhanced early seedling development, enhanced root and shoot development, and improved plant health. It’s the first product to provide Torque mixed in and delivered straight to the field.

PureGradeT is available now for the 2014 growing season at agriculture retail locations wherever Nutra-Flo products are sold. Other PureGrade Liquid Fertilizer and MicroSolutions Micronutrients containing Novozymes’ products will also be available for the 2014 season.
