Strip-Tillers Grapple with Replanting in Parts of Corn Belt
Some strip-tillers are replanting many of their acres in parts of the Corn Belt after being hit hard by rain. That’s the case for northeast Iowa strip-tiller Jeff Reints, who received 5-7 inches of rain after planting corn in early April. Veteran agronomist Missy Bauer also has some words of advice when it comes to replanting in this story from Farm Journal.

Elsewhere in Minnesota, strip-tillers Mike and Shane Peterson are hosting a Field Day this Thursday (June 12). The field day will include a sidedressing demonstration, strip-till and no-till equipment, and a discussion on how to be successful when interseeding cover crops.
