How this ‘Small Addition’ Keeps Fall Strip-Till Nutrients in Place
An agronomist from the Singular Agronomics team recommends adding a dry humic to your strip-till fertility blend this fall. “By adding carbon in the strip, the humic acids tie up phosphorus and potassium, keeping nutrients in place while improving breakdown and biological activity through the winter.”

Finding the Perfect Moisture to Harvest Corn
Get the scoop on PTI Farm’s phantom yield loss study from Jason Webster, National Strip-Tillage Conference Most Outstanding Speaker Award recipient. Webster has taken 4 corn hybrids and harvested them at 4 different moistures to determine which delivers the highest return when considering yield differentials and drying costs. See which one came out on top!
Strip-Tiller Saves Big Money on Herbicide with Fall Residuals
Clark, S.D., strip-tiller Casey Briggs shares an update on his fall operation in this Tri-State Neighbor feature. Briggs strip-tilled through a couple inches of snow and finished up spraying residual herbicide on corn stalks for next year’s sunflower and soybean crops. “Fall residuals are uncommon in our part of the world, but they work really well. It saves big money on herbicide for next year,” Briggs says.
