Strip-Till Innovator Details Unique Rotation
Coolidge, Ariz., Strip-Till Innovator Robert Boyle breaks down one of his more complex fields. On it, he harvested triticale, oats, peas, vetch, clovers and kale for silage in mid-February, then strip-tilled twin-row corn into it. Boyle uses a 360 RAIN unit on the field to autonomously irrigate and sidedress nutrients.
Strip-Till Gains Popularity in Southern Minnesota
Over the past 3 years, cover crop acreage is up about 10,000 acres and strip-till/no-till about 8,000 acres in Rice County, Minn., according to this Faribault Daily News column from Teresa Demars.
