Planting Corn Green into Thick Cover Crops
Here’s another great video from Adam Fennig, focusing on planting corn into heavy rye, rapeseed and radish cover crops after a wet spring. Check out the planter adjustments Adam made to ensure good seed to soil contact.
Question About Strip-Till & Drainage Challenges
Here’s a post we came across from Daniel Groothuis in the Strip-Till Community Forum on Facebook. He shared a photo of his strip-tilled corn before it was hit with multiple 8-inch rain events. “The best yield came from the manure and spring cultivated strip-till,” he says. Daniel ran into some drainage issues amidst the heavy rainfall and asked if others have dealt with similar challenges with strip-till. Check out the responses in the comments section.
