New York strip-tiller Tom Corcoran started farming on his own at age 41 after years of being a hired hand. A decade later, he grows crops on 1,000-plus acres and maintains a bustling sidecar of farm-related businesses, including the popular Instagram page "Some Unique Machines Brought In To Commemorate History," better known by its colorful acronym. 

An annual survey of farmers, custom operators and managers in Iowa shows prices could face increases for custom services this year.

The Strip-Till Innovator Awards are open to individual growers in the U.S. and Canada who have made a significant contribution to the advancement of strip-till farming. Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, March 15, 2022, for consideration.
