Environmental Tillage Systems, Inc. (ETS) has added two team members to its growing staff. Scott Opsahl joined the company in January as the Senior Engineer and Naomi Mortensen came on board in April as the Marketing Director. These additions align with ETS’ goal of hiring and cultivating talent to continue providing quality products and services to its customers.

“ETS is not only in the business of building quality zone tillage equipment to improve soil health, we are also focused on creating the best team to serve our customers,” says CEO Kevin Born. “As a growing company, we need talented, bright, and hard-working people who will help our customers stay at the leading edge of zone tillage. I am confident the skills that Scott and Naomi contribute will help ETS continue ‘leading the charge and defending the land’ through our SoilWarrior® product line.”

Opsahl has spent more than 20 years transforming ideas into reality through the lens of mechanical engineering. He has enhanced a wide-range of product lines at companies such as Raven Industries, Goodrich Aerospace, SPX, and Cannon Equipment. A certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Opsahl is also experienced at process improvement and can analyze and solve quality problems. In his role as Senior Engineer, Opsahl is establishing engineering systems and developing design processes that will drive product improvement and innovation.

Mortensen brings nine years of professional communications and customer service experience to the sales and marketing team. Her background includes directing communications for the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association and Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council and leading stewardship, donor relations, and campaign communications at Gustavus Adolphus College. As the company’s first Marketing Director, she will help implement a comprehensive marketing strategy while researching and identifying market trends.
