Looking to make strip-till work better for your farm? We share an inside look at how Environmental Tillage Systems (ETS) helps growers customize strip-till systems that match their unique operations. Explore the benefits of the SoilWarrior and SoilWarrior Edge, and how they can improve efficiency, soil health, and productivity.
You’ll also hear from Mike and Tricia Jaeger, experienced strip-tillers who made the switch to the SoilWarrior after using other machines. Find out what convinced them to change and what results they’ve seen since.
Key Takeaways:
- Strip-till is conventional tillage in strips where the seed is going to be planted. The rest of the field is undisturbed (2/3 no-till)
- ETS will work with your current farming practices to build a SoilWarrior that works for you and your farm
- ETS has multiple options for the SoilWarrior and SoilWarrior Edge
- Strip-till is all ETS has done for more than 20 years since beginning on a farm in Minnesota

Mike and Tricia Jaeger
Mike and Tricia Jaeger are 5th-generation farmers with an operation based in north central Iowa. One of their goals, especially in the past few years, has been to streamline their operation to maximize efficiency. Strip tilling allows them to prepare an ideal seedbed with perfect fertilizer placement. They can pull in and plant as a two-person crew. Last year, in a wet spring, thanks to fall strip till, they were able to be patient and wait for ideal planting conditions instead of finding the time to till and plant. Strip-tilling with the SoilWarrior has been a key component in improving yields and efficiency for the Jaegers.
