How to Navigate the Strip-Till Learning Curve
Minnesota strip-tiller Ron Verly and Iowa strip-tiller Garrett Asmus detail their strip-till journeys in this Farm Journal feature. Asmus says new strip-tillers should be prepared to deal with extra residue. “You’re not working the ground and hiding the residue, so there can be times when there’s more of it on the surface to manage. Make sure your planter is equipped to handle it.” Verly says the most valuable results can take a few seasons to achieve. “You’re not going to see results the first year. You’re going to see results the third year, the fourth year, the fifth year.”

It can and IS being done with almost half that!”
