[Video] Reducing Yield Loss with Farmwave

Founder and CEO Craig Ganssle illustrates how Farmwave uses autonomy alongside a multi-camera system to count grain loss in realtime. Front and back mounted cameras continually register and document individual kernels that fail to be harvested, which the system will extrapolate to determine the percentage loss per bushel in real time. With this information farmers can make adjustments to manage loss wherein they can immediately see the results if the changes and prevent or reduce the yield loss.

In January 2020, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) released data documenting the nation’s agricultural outputs, inputs and total farm factor productivity.
