Syngenta unveils Spiropidion, a new insect control technology that will help farmers protect their crops against damaging sucking pests in an effective and environmentally sustainable manner. Sucking pests, such as aphids, whiteflies, and scales, devastate high value fruit and vegetables like tomatoes, oranges and melons, as well as important arable crops like cotton and soybean.

Joining the Board are Jeff Stroburg, Southern States president and chief executive officer, and Tim Kroenke, retired Syngenta head of seed care.

New treatment allows greater flexibility and convenience for head scab control with applications as early as 50 percent head emergence.

Meade McDonald, product marketing lead for insecticides at Syngenta, talks about how the new formulation of Force 6.5G insecticide allows corn growers to get across nearly twice the acres as the old formulation and where no-tillers might find the best payoff with using a granular corn insecticide.

Force 6.5G can be applied through a wide variety of existing “open” system granular application equipment. Other improvements include a 50 percent lower dust-off rate, compared to Force 3G, and a 20-acre bag.

Vibrance Cinco is the latest addition to the portfolio of seed treatments from Syngenta, and provides protection from seed- and soil-borne diseases including Pythium, Rhizoctonia and Fusarium.

Fusilade DX offers post-emergence weed control for soybeans in all tillage situations. In addition to XtendiMax and Engenia, Fusilade DX readily tank mixes with a variety of other broadleaf herbicides.

This service was developed to help farmers, agronomists and retailers spot field issues caused by planter skips, emergence, insect feeding, poor plant nutrition, crop diseases, weeds, other pests and environmental damage.
